  5. It is assumed that the SUSP is being utilized within an ISO 9660:1988
  6. compliant volume. 
  7. Unless defined herein, or otherwise specified, terms shall be as defined
  8. in ISO 9660:1988.

  10. The following notation is used in this document.

  14. Numbers in decimal notation are represented by decimal digits, namely
  15. 0 to 9.

  17. Numbers in hexadecimal notation are represented by hexadecimal digits,
  18. namely 0 to 9 and A to F, shown in parentheses. 
  19. E.g. the hexadecimal number 7F will be written as (7F).

  23. ISO 9660:1988 provides System Use Areas within Directory Records.
  24. While a similar mechanism could be used in many other ways within the
  25. ISO 9660 structure, this System Use Sharing Protocol addresses only
  26. the System Use Areas within the Directory Records.

  28. In the descriptions in this document, the phrase "System Use Area" shall
  29. refer equally to the System Use Areas specified as well as any 
  30. Continuation of the System Use Areas designated through the use of
  31. "CE" System Use Fields (CE is described in the section titled
  32. "SYSTEM USE FIELDS PROVIDED BY THIS SPECIFICATION").
